It’s not very nice living in a disordered house which needs to be beyond clutter. Everyone likes a clean and clutter free home. Getting rid of clutter can be very time consuming for most of us as we are either full time parents or are in full time employment. To keep our homes clutter free there are a few things we can do which require very little daily effort from us.
Have A Decluttering Kit
You will need medium sizes boxes and need to mark them with give away, put away or charity. You will also need rubbish bags for throwing away rubbish, dust cloths and plastic gloves if you want to protect your hands.
Work In A Direction
Decide which direction you want to clean and declutter. For most people it will be easier if they start at the entrance and go clockwise, cleaning and decluttering as they go along.
Be Ruthless
Learn to be ruthless when getting rid of clutter that is the only way you will truly declutter, if you dont need something or havent used something for at least a year get rid of it or give it away you dont need it, its one thing less to worry about. Dont let the boxes sit in your house for weeks once they are full put or give them away, straight away. Another good rule to follow is when ever you buy something always get rid of or give away something that way you are decluttering all the time.
Do It Regularly
Try to declutter for about ten minutes each day on different rooms or zones each day, rather than not having done any decluttering for months and then suddenly having huge clean out days as this will not help you in beyond clutter.
